I am a metro-Detroit native with a love of breaking news, politics and storytelling.
I first got my feet wet 10 years ago, writing for my high school newspaper. Originally, I thought I was filling an empty spot in my schedule, but the job quickly became a passion of mine. My senior year, I was picked to be the paper’s Opinion Editor, and graduated with several awards under my belt.
I then went on to Michigan State University, where I studied Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. My senior year, I joined Focal Point, the school’s student-run newscast. There, I quickly learned that producing was the perfect career path for me. It combines everything I love: news, current events, writing, creativity and leadership. I graduated from MSU with honor in May 2016.
In June 2016, I began my professional career at ABC12 in Flint, MI. For five years, I covered a number of important stories, including: the Flint Water Crisis, the GM/UAW Strike, the COVID-19 Pandemic, catastrophic flooding in mid-Michigan and countless severe weather events.
My work at ABC12 was recognized with several awards from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters and the Michigan Associated Press Media Editors competition. View one winning entry here.
In June 2021, I moved across the state to join the FOX17 team in Grand Rapids, MI.
I currently work as the dayside Executive Producer.
While I have grown immensely as a journalist & producer, I have more learning to do, and I’m always looking forward to the next challenge.
